Dr Sam Klaer has been working as a general practitioner on the Sunshine Coast since 2019 where he completed his training and Fellowed into the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  

Dr Sam completed his medical degree in 2014 with the University of Queensland, where he spent time rurally including in Bundaberg and Toowoomba. Since graduating, he has spent time working in the public hospital system on the Sunshine Coast including working as a paediatric registrar at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, gaining additional experience caring for and treating children and newborns.

Dr Sam has experience and interest in all areas of medicine, particularly children’s health, women’s health and contraception, sexual health, sports medicine and complex and chronic medical diseases. He has additional training and experience in paediatrics and child health, as well as professional certificates in both Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer Surgery.

Outside of work Dr Sam enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 sons. His hobbies include scuba diving, hiking, gardening and cooking. He is available for appointments 4 days per week and is welcoming new and existing patients!
