Dr Marcelle Wijma has been working as a General Practitioner on the Sunshine Coast since 2008. Her General Practitioner training was completed in the Netherlands in 2001. In 2008 she moved to Australia with her husband and three children and settled in Coolum Beach.

She is passionate about all areas of general practice and enjoys the variety that general practice offers, close contact with patients and their families for continuity of care.

Having completed a Skin Cancer Certificate, Dr Wijma is available for skin checks and minor skin excisions. She is also a preferred provider for shared Antenatal Care with the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and is experienced in womens health. Due to her part time work at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, she is especially skilled in breast cancer follow-up and breast lesions.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being active outdoors and indoors and playing violin and singing. Dr Marcelle is available for appointments Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and welcomes new and existing patients!
